All descriptions and illustrations contained in our website/social media business pages are only intended to give a general idea of the products; specifications may vary slightly due to availability.

Payment:

£50.00 non refundable deposit is required at time of booking. (14 days ‘cooling off’ period is given from the date the deposit is made, thereafter it is Non-refundable).
Balance is due 4 weeks prior to the event date, or an agreed date between the two parties. We accept payment by cash, cheque or Direct Transfer or PayPal.

Cancellation Fees:

Up to 12-weeks prior to the event - £50 Deposit Less than 12 weeks prior to event - 50% of total cost Less than 8 weeks prior to event - 75% of total cost Less than 2 weeks prior to event - 100% of total cost

Sweet Carts/Dry Hire /Glass Hire Agreement/ Breakage Charges:

All glassware that is delivered to your event by Sweet-a-Fayre will be collected by us at an arranged date and time after the event.

All Pick n Mix Cart/Stands/Candy buffets are delivered and setup by Sweet-a-Fayre, on a date and time specified by the client. All serviced items i.e. Popcorn/Candyfloss/Waffles etc a delivery time will have been agreed by Sweet-a-Fayre and the person responsible for the booking.
Our estimated time for delivery will be discussed prior to your event . We hope to deliver to these estimates but occasionally delays will occur, despite our best efforts. We will not be liable for any delay or failure to deliver within such estimated timescales.

In no event shall Sweet-a-Fayre be liable to you for any compensation resulting from or related to any failure or delay to provide service under this agreement if such delays of failures are due to strikes, weather, fires, riots, acts of god, theft, terrorism, or vandalism or other causes beyond our control, as defined by standard practices in the industry. Such failure or delay shall not constitute a default under this agreement, however a full service refund will be offered to the hirer.

If you are hiring on behalf of a business or organisation you confirm that you have the necessary authority to enter into this contract on behalf of that business or organisation, and that you will indemnify us against all losses and expense which may be incurred if this is not the case.

You will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that the glassware is not damaged or misused during the period of the hire. This includes ensuring thattheglasswarecansafelybeusedwithanyotheritemswhichyouuse. Youshallnotsellorattempttosellorotherwisedisposeofthe glassware. You shall reimburse us for all costs in connection with replacing glassware that is not returned in good condition, pay us the full retail cost of any glassware which is lost stolen or damage beyond economic repair, and insure the glassware against such liability. A breakage deposit can be arranged and will be refunded after the event if all glassware/equipment is found as we left it.

All other equipment:

All other equipment which is attended and served by Sweet-a-Fayre will be the Sweet-a-Fayres responsibility. Unless this is deliberately vandalised, or mis-treated by your guests i.e., fallen into, pulled upon, or items stolen, then all damages will be recharged to the persons(s) that are responsible for the booking.

Installation:

Sweet-a-Fayre aim to be at your venue at an agreed time with the client in order to set up the equipment prior to the start of the hire period, the hire period are the times you have stated on the booking form. Early set ups can be arranged but Standing Time will be charged at £25.00 per hour outside of normal acceptable set up times. Privacy Policy/Photos/Data Protection:

We guarantee that your personal details will not be disclosed to third parties. We hold your details under the GDPR Regulations which come into force on 25th May 2018. These are only used by us to deliver your services and make contact up until your hire date. Your details are then kept on your booking form only within a locked cabinet for 5 years after your event for HMRC and Tax purposes.

Sweet-a-Fayre loves nothing better than a photo of you enjoying our services to share on our Social Media Business Pages and may occasionally use for advertising purposes. If you do not wish for this to happen please let us know, there is an opportunity to let us know on the booking form. We never take or share any pictures of Children unless consent has been given.

Allergies/Food Intolerances:

We have many sweets/foods from many different manufactures and we are aware of the serious health risk to people who are allergic to whole peanuts, nuts or nut derivatives. It is with regret we are unable to assure you that the products that we supply will not have traces of nuts. However, we do check and hold full ingredients lists from all of our products (can be viewed upon request). If we are supplying sweets/foods that we know contain nuts these will be clearly labelled and stored separately from all other products. All our sweets/products are handled with hygiene gloves. Gloves will always be changed if handling any sweets/foods containing nuts. If you do require any specific information about a certain product then please contact us and we will do our best to answer and queries that you may have.

It is up to you the client to inform us of any severe allergies or food intolerances, if prior notice is given it may be possible for us to accommodate said tolerances i.e. Gluten, Lactose, Nuts. Signs are displayed throughout the service time requesting your guests to inform us of any such allergies/tolerances as we can then offer a full ingredient list before we serve.

Complaints:

If the hirer is unhappy with any part of the booking, then resolution must be sought verbally first via Louise or an individual representing Sweet-a- Fayre at the event. The hirer must make us aware at the time that the issue happens. Sweet-a-Fayre will not be held liable for any complaints regarding service Retrospectively. In the event of a complaint, an immediate resolution will be sought however Sweet-a-Fayre will not be held liable for any monetary amount over that paid to Sweet-a-Fayre by the hirer.

Equipment Failure:

Failure to Supply due to equipment malfunction which can occur due to the nature of our business:- In the event of a critical error which results in Sweet-a-Fayre being unable to supply the hired product or service, a refund will be given to the hirer based on which service fails according to the booking form. Sweet-a-Fayre will not be held liable for any monetary amount over that paid to Sweet-a-Fayre by the hirer:
If it is possible Sweet-a-Fayre will envisage to reinstate service and add any time owing onto the end of the booking.

Terms of Use:

Sweet-a-Fayre requires a flat watertight space to operate. We will happily sit in Marquees if a flat area can be found. Sweet-a-Fayre need an electricity supply to operate. This should be provided by the hirer. No costs will be incurred by Sweet-a-Fayre for the use of electric or the hire of powered generator. Sweet-a-Fayre will refuse to fulfil products or services hired if this condition is not met. No refund will be applied to the hirer, if they have failed to organise a sufficient space for the product or service to be conducted. Sweet-a-Fayre will not be held liable for changes made to the venue which prevent us from operating. Sweet-a-Fayre hold the right to restrict use of it’s products or services at events where deemed necessary for grounds of health and safety or increased risk of damage to equipment.

Limitation/Disclaimer Liability:

We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage of the Pick n Mix Cart/Stand/ Candy buffets once they have been delivered and set up at a venue, which are not then manned by Sweet-a-Fayre. Please note that because our products are edible, food items are non-returnable.

Sweet-a-Fayres total liability for any claim howsoever arising shall not exceed the price of the goods supplied by Sweet-a-Fayre to the customer. Please note that pictures are for general illustration only and the product may vary from that shown. We will however Endeavour to replace any unavailable product with a similar item.

We reserve the right to refuse to serve any person(s) that is abusive towards our staff, intoxicated or acting in a menacing manner. The hirer will be informed of any service refusal and if the situation isnt dealt with then Sweet-a-Fayre reserve the right to stop service altogether. No refund will be offered for these situations.

Governing Law:

The contract between Sweet-a-Fayre and the Customer shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English Law and the English Courts shall have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes between us.

Acceptance of Terms:

By placing an order for goods from Sweet-a-Fayre, you are deemed to have accepted and agreed to our terms and conditions. English law applies to all transactions.
